SATURDAYS: 10/12, 11/16 & 11/23

The Broadview Heights Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Youth Challenge to offer a new Power Soccer program specifically for power wheelchair users at the new Broadview Heights Community and Recreation Center!

The new Power Soccer program will run select Saturdays (10/12, 11/16 & 11/23) from 6pm to 8pm in the auxiliary gym at the recreation center.  Interested players will have the opportunity for open play.  Anyone interested in becoming involved is invited to attend!  We are seeking coaches, officials and participants!  There will be additional dates added in 2020.

What is Power Soccer? Power soccer is the first competitive team sport designed and developed specifically for power wheelchair users. Athletes' disabilities include quadriplegia, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, and many others. The game is played in a gymnasium on a regulation basketball court. Two teams of four players attack, defend, and spin-kick a 13-inch soccer ball in a skilled and challenging game similar to able-bodied soccer. The USPSA is the governing body for Power soccer in the United States. Browse the USPSA website for more information on Power Soccer:
