Broadview Heights At-Large Councilwoman | Educator | Community Leader

Jennifer Mahnic is currently serving as an At-Large Councilwoman for Broadview Heights, a role she has held since first being elected at the age of 27. A dedicated public servant and advocate for sustainable growth, she currently chairs the Service Committee and contributes her expertise to the Recreation, Building Codes, Public Buildings, Growth Planning, and Zoning committees. She also serves as the council representative to the Shade Tree Commission.

Professional & Academic Background

  • Educator: A celebrated Public School Teacher and recipient of the Teacher of the Year award.

  • Education: Holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Cincinnati, following her graduation from Trinity High School.

Community & Service

Deeply rooted in the Cleveland area, Jennifer grew up in Garfield Heights as the daughter of Former State Representative and Vietnam Veteran Frank Mahnic Jr. and Elsa (Busetto) Mahnic of Sacile, Italy. Her commitment to service has earned her numerous local and international awards. Currently serves as the President of the Broadview Heights Lions Club. A parishioner at Assumption Church and a long-time volunteer for various non-profit organizations.

Personal Life

Jennifer resides in Macintosh Farms with her husband, Keith Gaydosh, an environmental engineer, and their two children, Gwen and Luke. A resident of Broadview Heights since purchasing her first home in the New Hampton subdivision, she remains passionate about enhancing the quality of life for all neighbors in the community.
