Every spring the Broadview Heights Lions Club awards up to 6 local seniors with $1,000 grants through its Financial Grant Program. The Lions scholarship criteria focuses on financial need and service of students to their community while living out the Lions international motto, "We Serve". There will be a presentation by Anne Victory, Director of Education, Collaborative to End Human Trafficking, and Edgardo Padin, Staff Member. The Collaborative to End Human Trafficking in Northeast Ohio supports the fundamental human right to freedom by educating and advocating for the prevention and abolition of human trafficking while connecting services on behalf of trafficked persons. Members of the Brecksville Women’s Club meet monthly, typically the fourth Tuesday of every month at Woodside Event Center at St. Michael’s, 5025 Mill Road, Broadview Heights 44147. Their luncheon begins at 11:30, their business meeting begins at 12:30pm, and the program speaker is at 1pm.
