Back by popular demand, Halloween on the Heights is co-sponsored by the City of Broadview Heights and the Broadview Heights Community Foundation. It will be held within and around the Broadview Heights Community Building at Broadview Center on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 1-5 PM. There will be inflatables, costume contests (2-4 PM), coloring contests, games and prizes, scarecrow-decorating contests, trick-or-treating, displays, and food vendors. Visitors can also take a hay-ride shuttle to The Spotlights Theater’s Enchanted Hollow-een for a nominal fee.
Businesses and organizations are invited to participate by reserving a table in the Hall of Treats. Hundreds of trick-or-treaters and their families will parade up to the second floor of the Community Building where there will be sponsored, decorated displays. Table space is available at a nominal price of $75 each. The table-sponsors are expected to decorate their booth for the season and also provide treats for about 750 young'uns. For more information about business participation or to reserve a booth, call 440/526-4357.
Individuals, businesses, groups, and families may decorate a scarecrow and win valuable prizes. The theme is “Zombies”. A limited number of scarecrow kits are available in the recreation department (call first).
