[ARCHIVED] Current Construction Projects

Current Construction Projects

  • Wallings Road Resurfacing (link) - 11/4/2020 - The County has hired Pavement Technology to install Reclimate on Wallings Road. It is an asphalt rejuvenator that is sprayed on the road. The process should be completed by the end of the week. It will be applied one lane at a time with moving traffic zones. There will be flaggers maintaining traffic. The product will be applied during the day and not during peak hours.

  • Oakes Road Construction Information:

Below is an update on few critical activities that is taking place the week of November 16-20 that will have an impact on both local traffic and site access.

Monday (11/9) Pavement removal will begin and patching back the utility trench running down the center of Glenwood. Starting at 8am, all traffic will be diverted and Glenwood will remain closed till the following morning. Note, we will work with any school bus traffic to ensure they are able to access Glenwood prior to 8am that day. The afternoon bus route will only be able to access Glenwood from Route 82 but will not be able to travel through. On Tuesday morning, normal traffic pattern can be resumed.

Tuesday (11/10) Oakes Road will be restricted to a single lane for pavement removal and repairs but will be reopened at the end of the work day. We will maintain 2-way traffic during this time.

Thursday (11/12) Both Oakes Road and Glenwood will be temporarily closed for short periods of time while our asphalt crew lays the final course of asphalt down. Traffic will be maintained during this work but will be limited during short periods of time. We will also be paving to front entrance to the project on Oaks and will need to utilize Blossom Hill for worker vehicle access. There may be a need to use Blossom for vehicle access on Wednesday while the stone subbase is being installed. All of our subcontractors have beem notified to restrict all deliveries this day.

Site Construction Issues
