Memorial Day starts with a parade which serves as the gathering ceremony for the memorial service which honors our fallen soldiers. Veterans, military families, sports teams, organizations, businesses, etc. are invited to participate. We are also in need of classic/antique cars or convertibles to chauffeur our veterans. To bring a bit of nostalgia to the event, youngsters may ride their decorated bikes in the parade.
The parade will gather at The Crossings Shopping Center at 10:30 a.m. on West Royalton Road and step off at 11:00 on Broadview Road, just north of Route 82. Spectators are invited to join the end of the parade and follow it to the Broadview Center where there will be a memorial ceremony, veteran tribute, and refreshments.
