Children’s Enrichment Programs
Etiquette Class- In Person
Certified Children’s Etiquette & Manners Instructor.
Fall: Saturday, October 3rd.
Winter: Saturday, February 6th.
Register by October 1st. Location: Burntwood Tavern - 8188 Brecksville Rd. Time: 11:00AM-1:00PM (12:30-1:00 brunch to practice what was learned). Children age 8 and up will learn the following in a fun and interactive way: Setting a table from start to finish, table manners and etiquette, American style of dining, continental style of dining, proper introductions, posture, the napkin, please and thank you's, dining conversation, proper way to utilize utensils, passing the food and complimenting the chef. For questions contact Recreation Manager Ryan Meyer at rmeyer@broadview-heights.org. All students receive Brunch at the end of the class.
Fee: $45 per student. Max 25.
The Money Game - In Person
Fall: Saturday, October 3rd.
Winter: Saturday, February 6th
Max 15. Register by September 28th. Location: Broadview Heights Recreation Center. Meeting Room 1.
Time: 1:30PM-3:00PM
In this class, students age 10 and up will work for a paycheck, pay their expenses, learn how to save, and learn how to acquire passive income with purchased assets. What sets this class apart is the ability to teach students how to invest and become financially sound! For questions contact Recreation Manager Ryan Meyer at rmeyer@broadview-heights.org. Fee: $40 per student.
Online Children's Enrichment Courses
These classes are taught online. Registration is through the Recreation Center at www.bhrec.org. Once registered, participants will log into ZOOM 15 minutes before the start of class to begin. Zoom invites are emailed out that week. Any questions, email Kim at Kimberleefranz@yahoo.com
Perfectly Polite Dining Etiquette:
In these classes, children age 6 and up come together to learn about the following life skills: How to set a table, American style dining, continental style dining, posture, dining conversations, and so much more! Participants will need something to practice cutting such as bread, chicken, pizza or fruit. Cost is $25 per student.

The Money Game
Similar to our in person course, this is a financial literacy program where children ages 10 and up learn how to manage paychecks, state, taxes, every day expenses and bills, utilities, rent, car expenses, credit cards, life events, record keeping and keeping track of assets. The money game provides an opportunity for participants to learn how to make, manage and multiply their money wisely so they can grow up financial free.

Cost: $25 per student, per class.
